With the threat of Covid-19 and the obligation to stay home I have taken the plunge into learning all the possibilities of technology in relation to music education. There are so many video chat apps with some having different advantages over others. It’s all rather impressive, new ideas and creative formats have sparked enthusiasm for continuing to use these accessible online tools. Kids are excited to use their smart phones and ipads and can’t wait to connect at their lesson time. Learning to play the piano is an enjoyable venture and, paired with discipline, e-lessons are proving to be super fun and rewarding! I’m sure the kids have more to teach me as they are the tech wiz’s. I may even get to meet some of the beloved pets that I hear about. Remember to be playing and creating music, it’s one of life’s greatest joys. :)
