What's better than teaching music? I say nothing... but I'm probably biased. Music has always been a gift I love to share. It's when a shy 5 year old comes out of their shell after months of lessons and I see the excitement in their eyes, or an adult who never dreamed they would be able to play feels a new confidence and enjoyment in their music.
Music is the one language that connects all people together. No racism, no predetermined bias, it links people together beyond words. It means being able to work together and understand one another; it's as if we all come together under one banner. It brings a whole new unity beyond cultures. It's so much more than an individual pursuit of excellence. Having taught all these years I've learned that our differences only enhance creativity and style. I love teaching music! It's a connection point I can have with everybody regardless of skill, age, or background. Music is in all of us...the universal language of mankind.
